Drew Brees: New Orleans Saint quarterback suffers right thumb injury

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees left the loss of Sunday in the first quarter with a thumb injury and did not return.
“Right away, when he attempted to throw, he had been having pain with it. It wasn’t anything fancy,” coach Sean Payton said in his post-game media conference.
“We will give you an update when the time is ”
Payton said Brees didn’t possess X-rays in halftime but suggested it may take a couple of days of testing before the group has an upgrade.
Teddy Bridgewater entered 3:29 remaining in the initial quarter. He went 17 of 30 for 165 yards as the Saints dropped 27-9.
Before departing brees started the game three of five for 38 yards and an interception.
He came out of the locker room after halftime using the tape from his hands and with a helmet on, but didn’t enter was retaped.
Even the 40-year-old has missed just 1 game because of injury since joining the Saints in 2006, which arrived in 2015.
He’s missed just two other contests of a possible 210 with the Saints, both while resting in Week 17 together with the group’s playoff position protected.
The Rams will seek out a third successive win when they visit Cleveland (0-1) on Sunday night (1.20’m ) and Week Four will see them host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the LA Coliseum (9.05pm).
New Orleans, with or without Brees, traveling to Seattle (2-0) following Sunday (9.25pm) because they seem to come back to winning ways then in Week Four sponsor the Dallas Cowboys at a blockbuster-looking Sunday Night Football (1.20am).
Week Two finishes on Monday using policy on Sky Sports Action, Cleveland’s trip to New York Jets and Main Event from 1am
